RECRUITNG NOW for the 2024 Winter season

We’re looking for exceptional staff to join us this October Half Term and Christmas to take on some very important tasks. Every year Willows Activity farm turns into a winter wonderland with families travelling from all over Hertfordshire to visit our Santa Spectacular. We have an excellent reputation of offering a fabulous festive family day out.

As part of our diverse team, you will be delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the health and safety of our guests.

About the Role:

We want all our guests to have a fun-packed, exciting day here at Willows and it will be your job to help make their day.

No two days are the same and as part of our Farm Park Operations team you could be assisting our guests with the activities and rides on the park or working in our food outlets as part of the Food & Beverage team, making sure our guests are fed and watered during their day at Willows so they have lots of energy for a fun-packed day.

This role may suit you if you are looking for a job that fits in around college and university studies or if you are looking for flexibility that works with your commitments at home.

It may be that you are looking for new experiences and to work in a fun and friendly environment.

About You:

The key qualities we are looking for are a passion for working in a customer facing role, interacting with our customers and being able to work as part of a team.

You will be able to remain calm when working in a busy and fast paced environment, have a willingness to learn new skills and communicate well.

Hours:

This is a fixed term, seasonal role which includes weekends, school and bank holidays.

Shifts will be allocated in advance and vary dependant on the time of year.

Permanent Roles

Livestock Manager

We have an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Livestock Manager, working as part of a dynamic team within a leading Farm attraction. If you are experienced with livestock and looking for a role in a leisure attraction environment where you can take ownership of the department, this could be the role for you.

Working closely with the wider Livestock Team and team of Duty Managers, you’ll be responsible for for the health and welfare of the farm park animals.  You’ll also take responsibility for helping to deliver seasonal and event related animal shows that are part of our event programmes.

If you can demonstrate the relevant skills and experience from a farm/
animal management role you could be the one we’re looking for!

About You:

The key qualities we are looking for are:

  • Proven experience with livestock animal care.
  • Knowledge of livestock nutrition and health.
  • Proficiency in operating farm machinery is essential.
  • A ‘hands on’ people manager who is able to lead by example and motivate a
    team.
  • Organised and always striving for continuous improvement.

Hours:

A start time of 8am in order to perform duties with animals that must be undertaken before the farm park opens. This role demands a flexible approach to working hours to reflect the needs of the business at weekends, Bank Holidays and school holidays. The average working week will be 5 days in 7, which will include at least one weekend day each week.

Tractor Driver

Dedicated to our guests and delivering a fun, family day out, we are looking for a tractor driver to drive the Tractor and Trailer ride for our customers.

Previous experience of tractor driving or similar vehicles, desirable but not essential.

 

About You:

A full driving license is a must.

You must be available to weekends, bank holidays and school holidays.

This is a part time role (20-40 per week).
